Faith

We believe in the one true God, YHWH.  His name is too powerful for our lips!  He is the Creator of everything; from the outermost galaxies to the deepest parts of the ocean.  He is Abba; our Heavenly Father.  He made us from dust into His very own image, and He has adopted us as his children through the blood of His Son Jesus Christ!  He is All Knowing, All Powerful, the Almighty, and He alone deserves to be glorified! 

We believe in Jesus Christ, who came and lived among us in all of our dust.  We believe He is the way, the truth, and the life—Yeshua; the lion, the lamb and our redeemer, who bought us out of slavery.   We believe in the cross, the empty tomb, and the Risen Savior who sits at the Father’s right hand interceding forever on our behalf.  We believe He is King of Kings and Lord of Lords, our Bridegroom, who will return for His Bride and unite us together with Him in glory!

We believe in the power of the cross where Jesus took on all of our sins.  We believe we were spiritually dead, and deserving of complete separation from God.  We believe that Jesus’ death on the cross is our hope, and all we have to cling to in this crazy, messed up, fallen world.  We believe Him; that He said, “It is finished”.  We believe that He suffered so that we may be washed white as snow!  We believe He conquered death, and through Him alone we have victory!

We believe in the Holy Spirit, who has sparked our dead souls to life.  We believe He is active in guiding, counseling, and moving us in the Way of Truth.  We believe He cries out on our behalf when mere words cannot. We believe in the deposit of the Holy Spirit by which we are given power, authority, and discipline to carry out His will on earth as it is in heaven. We believe that by living in the Spirit, and producing fruits of the Spirit, we will be surrounded by mighty works of the Spirit.  

We believe in God’s Word, the living an active Word of God that is sharper than any double-edged sword.  We believe His word is infallible, and pure in every way.  We believe the Word was breathed from the very mouth of God, and that He continues to speak to us through the pages of His Great Love Letter!  We believe that His Word gives us all the direction we need to live an abundant, God-filled life.

We believe it is not enough to simply “believe”.  Even the demons believe and shudder.  We must KNOW the Lord, and live out our faith in Him every day!

We believe in the Apostles Creed, the Nicene Creed, and our fellowship’s statement of faith. We belong to an amazing family of believers at Fairview Christian Church (an independent Christian church that seeks to be true to the original church described in the New Testament).
