Wow! I am very impressed at the number of people getting registered for the $300 Cash Giveaway!
I was super excited when asked to go in on this giveaway!
I am a young wife and new mom who did not grow up cooking much. I also have a desire to give my family the very best when it comes to nutritious and tasty meals! However, I must admit I am not very good at this! I like for things to be simple and fast, and eating healthy usually means spending more time preparing.
I am convinced that having the right tools makes all the difference! My husband is quite the handy man and very resourceful, but even he will tell you that having the right tools for the job makes things go much faster and more smoothly. The final project is usually better for it as well! I believe having the right tools in the kitchen makes a HUGE difference for me as well! Of course some tools are more expensive than others! Which is why this giveaway is so great!
There are definitely some items I would think about buying if I were able to win this money!
Here are a few of my kitchen wishes:
A VitaMix Blender
I have heard so many people rave about how much they LOVE their VitaMix! I have tried a few recipes in the past that required a much stronger blender than the one we currently have. I think having this blender would make life a little easier, and motivate me to try some real food recipes that currently seem itimidating. Plus, I am hoping to make my own baby food when the time comes to incorpate it into Kyria's diet. I think this kitchen tool would make the whole process much more quick, easy, and enjoyable!
A Kitchen Aid Mixer
That's right! I do not own a Kitchen Aid! :O It seems this is the one kitchen tool no one wants to go without! Currently, I own a Sunbeam mixer. I honestly didn't think there would be much of a difference, and I am all for saving money! I am afraid I may have been wrong! After using my mixer and a friend's Kitchen Aid, there seems to be no contest! The Kitchen Aid is much more heavy duty, and I love all the attachment options.
An Excalibur Dehydrater
Ok I probably need this one the least . . . We have a great Nesco dehydrater, and after looking at some reviews I think it does just as good of a job at drying things! However, with the Excalibur you can dry more at one time, and the design makes it a little more simple to work with. Not only that, but you can also take the trays out, and use it for making yogurt or allowing bread to rise!
So there you have it! A few wishes for my kitchen!
In case you are thinking about your own kitchen, here are a few things I've wished for in the past and actually received them as gifts from our sweet family! If you don't have these, I would definitely recommend adding them to your own wish list!
Grain Mill
Pressure Cooker
Canning Equipment
Crockpot
Cast Iron Skillets
Toaster Oven
Food Saver
What are your favorite kitchen tools!?
If you won the $300 cash, what kitchen gadget would you consider purchasing!?

I love my breadmaker! I am able to make homemade bread if I like and use it often for dough for breadsticks, cinnamon rolls and such. I would really encourage people to invest in a good one. And I totally agree that having good tools in the kitchen is a huge help!
ReplyDeleteI love my Kitchen Aid Mixer!! We got the same one for our wedding, and it is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI have to agree regarding the Kitchen Aid......I was fortunate and found a relatively new one at a yardsale for $40! I also found a pressure canner and yogurt maker at another yardsale, I haven't used the pressure canner yet but because I got it for a real deal I don't feel terrible that I haven't used it yet. I have a fairly nice blender, but I have heard many great things about the VitaMix Blender and would probably think about one of them when I am ready to replace my current blender.
