A Beautiful Baby Shower

This weekend Kyria and I had our first baby shower!  It was beautiful!  Two of my best friends put the whole thing together, and they did an amazing job!  It was creative, sweet, and personalized!  I can't express my appreciation enough!  Seriously, my friend Jeri is finishing up teaching school, teaching Zumba classes (ones she took over for me!), has a little 2 year old boy and husband to take care of, is busy trying to bring in additional income for next year when she stays at home, and somehow she managed to plan and put together this spectacular shower for me!  My friend Erin also amazes me! She will be leaving in 5 days for language school and a 3 month mission trip to Guatemala!  In addition to preparing for this trip, she is teaching school, and trying to spend time with everyone before she leaves! She is so creative, and really did a fantastic job getting everything together!   I don't know how they did it, but I am so blessed to have such awesome friends! Not only were these two girls fabulous, all the ladies that came really made the day special!  Here are some pics:

  The girls had somewhat of a strawberry theme going . . .  with yummy strawberry cake, chocolate dipped strawberries, and this tasty punch, Erin made it both gorgeous and delicious!

Jeri made these awesome tissue flowers as decorations!  Now I get to use them for Kyria's room!

The flowers were also used to top the centerpieces!

Wow!  Who would have thought paper plates and cups could look so pretty!?

All the ladies brought an article of baby clothing, and we used the buttons and fabric paint to add a personal touch to Kyria's outfits! :)  Such a clever idea!  Thanks Erin!

Erin came up with this creative way to give the ladies an option to contribute to our cloth diaper fun!

We also had a bow station, where everyone created these pretty flower bows!
Kyria is well on her way to having plenty of hair accessories!  Yet another great idea from Erin!
