A Happy Birthday & Sweet Homemade Gifts!

Today is my birthday!  Number 26!  Last night when I came home Skyler had made me a birthday cake, and had several presents all wrapped up waiting for me.  Technically it wasn't my birthday, but that's what I love about birthdays, Christmas, and Thanksgiving, etc. . . . you pretty much get the whole week to celebrate!  Tonight, we will get to enjoy a night out together, and Saturday we are meeting up with my parents to do a little birthday shopping!  Anyway, last night seemed like a good time to have cake, ice cream, and presents!  And in case you didn't know, my husband is aMaZiNg!!  He out did himself again this year!

See, I have been wanting to start making jewelry, and I had found some tutorials I wanted to try way back in the summer.  I bought a few things, but just haven't had the money to get the right tools (or the time to actually make it).  So my thoughtful husband, not only bought me the tools I needed . . . he also made me these earrings!  He is too good to me!

These were the earrings I had hoped to make someday!  You can find the tutorial here!
Perfect colors for supporting my Diamond, Wildcats! (And MU Tigers!)
Fanta Fun!  He cut these from pop cans!  Too Cute!
Another creation from the Fanta cans!

This design inspired by Psalms . . . "Faith & Love"
These are some of my favorites!  Had to snap a pic today at school!
So there we have it!  I have such a sweet husband, and I must say he's set the bar pretty high!  I am going to have to be pretty meticulous and creative if I'm going to make jewelry like this! :)  I'm thinking him and I should start an Etsy shop! :)  What do ya think?!

The Harvest Party

So Monday night our church hosted their annual Harvest Party.  Our home group helped out with running the train ride!  We had so many people stop by to visit!  Wow!  It was awesome to see all the people!  I think this is such a great outreach!  Here are some pictures I snapped throughout the night! :)
