Recipe: Snow Ice Cream

With all this snow, I was happy to get a recipe for some "natural" ice cream!  It is yummy, and really fun to try! Here it goes:

First, go outside and scoop up some snow.  Make sure the bowl/pot will hold about a gallon!

Next, add one cup of sugar and mix together!
(I said "natural" not "healthy", but a once-in-lifetime blizzard is reason enough to celebrate!)

Now add 1 T of vanilla and stir it up . . .

Add milk, until you get the consistency you desire and. . . WA LA!
SNOW ICE CREAM!!
Yummy!

I actually went all out, and added chocolate to mine!
We put the leftover ice cream in smaller containers and stored them in the freezer for later!

  1. Interesting! We don't get snow, what was the texture like?

  2. Kelly,
It was alot like homemade icecream! Not incredibly thick, but more icy! There are other recipes that use cream or condensed milk, which would make it thicker . . . we just used what we had on hand.
